Innovation

With the combination of distance learning and face-to-face courses, IRIS provides users with an innovative curriculum that ensures:

  • Excellence: more participant can access the course while maintaining excellent quality of materials and training content. The hybrid format reduces risks of loss and dwindling of the training content linked to time and to the multiplication of trainers, specifically in the case of cascade trainings.

  • Accessibility: the distant learning ensures access to those who have professional or personal constraints in attending face-to-face courses and enables them to study from the comfort of their own home.

  • Efficiency and effectiveness: the distant learning overcomes logistics and geographic constraints in a more financially effective approach.

  • Plurality of resources: IRIS provides a more modern, dynamic and interactive learning experience, based on numerous complementary informative resources.

  • Internationally recognised: IRIS is designed to comply with the European standards of the Bologna process, allowing students to obtain equivalencies, and ensures that the degree is recognised internationally.

  • Continuously updated: in order to check the effectiveness of the course, a Leadership and Conflict Management Skills for Electoral Stakeholders (LEAD) pilot cascade training will be organised in Democratic Republic of Congo in 2014.
